Combining both the heritage of cycling and modernist design, the Majella range was born into an iconic Made in Italy product.
We strive for our products to balance both beauty and simplicity, constantly analysing, evolving and perfecting with the aim to create exceptional bikes which stand the test of time and deliver at an unprecedented level. After the Gran Sasso experience we applied the same methodology to our tailor-made process with the most precious alloy in bike manufacturing ‘Titanium’.
Complete filing of the welds and polishing by frame artisans with graphics applied directly to the titanium tubes via sandblasting. Majella represents bespoke technology created to highlight the excellence of Di Luca frame production capabilities. The concept is simple: create a “Made to Measure” frame that adapts to the cyclist’s body. The same way Di Luca Bespoke Project gives the cyclist complete control over the creative process. Choose the materials (titanium or carbon), the details and the geometry to ride a unique masterpiece built and finished by the skilled hands of the master craftsmen of the Di Luca bike team.
The name Majella, the second highest mountain massif in the continental Apennines after the Gran Sasso, has divine origins and takes its name from the Goddess Maja, mother of Mercury. A natural symbol of Abruzzo, the Sleeping Beauty reveals its sinuous forms along the profile of the Majella.
From this mythology comes our titanium Majella which recalls the sinuosity of Sleeping Beauty, giving it such an elegant and timeless profile that makes it a bike desired by everyone. Historically true riders desired to experience the curves and climbs the Majella mountains provide. This model is a true symbol of a craftsmanship blended with technology created specifically for all road cyclists.
Made from Titanium Ti3Al2.5V (grade 9) or more simply known as Ti-3-2.5 consisting excellent low temperature durability, 20-50% higher durability properties compared to CP Titanium grades. Properties used predominantly within the Aerospace industries.
Containing 3.0% Aluminum and 2.5% Vanadium. This ‘pure’ grade of metal permits for the use of welding ease and manufacturing requirements, – ‘pure’ grades maintain longevity and high strength.
